Tractor Trailer accident (2011): In 2011, a client of ours was a passenger in an automobile that was involved in an accident with a tractor trailer. Our client suffered serious injuries that completely changed her life. The insurance company for the tractor trailer company denied liability. After litigating the case for over a year, we were able to convince the insurance company to pay our client in excess of $900,000.00.
Automobile Accident (2015): In 2015, a client of ours was struck and injured by an automobile while she was playing in her yard with her children. She was injured and underwent surgery on her leg. Without even filing a lawsuit, our firm was able to obtain a settlement with the insurance company for $150,000.00. Knowing that lawsuits can take years to conclude, we were able to obtain this settlement for our client within months of her injuries due to our persistent and aggressive representation.
Automobile Accident (2011): In 2011, our client was making a lawful turn at an intersection in Luzerne County when another driver negligently struck our client’s vehicle causing our client to break a bone in his arm. Despite the insurance company initially offering $20,000.00, after litigating the case in Federal Court, our firm was able to secure a settlement in the amount of $150,000.00 without every having to step foot in the courtroom.
Aggravated Assault trial (2012): In 2012, Attorney William J. Watt, III, represented an individual that was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, a felinely of the first degree that is punishable by twenty years incarceration. As a result of Attorney Watt’s aggressive representation, thorough investigation, and experience in the courtroom, the jury found our client not guilty of Aggravated Assault and our client was immediately released from prison.
Multi-million dollar business acquisitions: Our firm has handled numerous multi-million dollar business acquisitions in the past with the most recent being in November, 2019 when our client acquired a competitor company in Boston, MA. The complexity of a business acquisition of this magnitude is largely unknown by the general public. Our firm was able to successfully manage the transfer due to our knowledge of the law and ability to manage a transaction of this size.
First Degree Homicide trial (2010): Attorneys Samuel A. Falcone, Jr. and William J. Watt, III represented an individual who was charged with first degree, pre-meditated murder as a result of shooting that occurred in Luzerne County. After a week long jury trial, the jury returned a verdict of not guilty of first degree murder.
Homicide Cases: The Attorneys at Saporito, Falcone & Watt have handled over ten (10) homicide trials, homicide appeals to the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, and two (2) death penalty homicide trials (both resulting in a verdict in life in prison with no death penalty). We have the knowledge and courtroom experience to handle criminal cases from less serious misdemeanors to complex serious felonies. Our courtroom experience allows our clients to choose between a well prepared defense or a negotiated guilty plea. No matter the seriousness or complexity, we handle each case thoroughly knowing that each client’s case is their most important case.
Estate Litigation and Administration. Our firm has handled the administration of many multi-million dollar estates ranging from simple administration to complex litigation. In 2018, our firm handled the administration of an estate valued in excess of One Million Dollars that had beneficiaries in multiple countries. Our hands-on approach gives administrators and executors the comfort of knowing that we will guide them through the complex process associated with administrating the most complex estates.
In addition to the specific results referenced above, our firm has handled hundreds of car accident and personal injury cases resulting in settlements and jury awards totaling millions of dollars. Many of those settlements are confidential and the facts and results cannot be disclosed.
